The Princess Jewelry!

Haddi recently received a new Princess Vanity from Grandma Alix which is a little dressing table with a mirror and a stool with drawers for her jewelry. She loves the thing and drags everyone up to see it (I mean everyone - kids from the neighborhood, relatives, the kids' mothers, pizza delivery man, etc....)
Anyway, here she is showing off her Cinderella earrings and monkey necklace. What a little doll!

Haddi and Friends

Ok - so it happened. One day we're minding our own business when "ding-dong", we hear the door bell. "Can Haddi come out to play" says the little girl at the door. Haddi's mother is somehow sad and happy and through almost-tears manages to choke out 'sure, ok'. So it begins - she's really growing up! It's so unbelievable to me that she's 3 1/2 years old already. Luckily, our neighborhood is full of little girls. Although they are all 5 going on 6, and Haddi is 3 going on 4, they all seem to get along very well and enjoy playing together (although the older girls don't always understand Haddi's fascination with Dora, but whatever). This is Abby and Macie from the neighborhood drinking cocoa and eating gummy bear snacks at our kitchen table - too cute!

The Birthday Shirt

For Uncle Martin's birthday this year, we had a birthday party for him at the house. Haddi and Uncle Martin made a birthday shirt together as part of his present. Here she is showing off her handiwork (the big splotches are courtesy of the Hads)

Dancing Queen!

Haddi loves to dance as well as sing and she is especially into ballet right now thanks to Angelina the Ballerina books and videos. She twirls all the time, especially when wearing a dress so she can see her skirt flow out. Today she said to me, "Mom, when I'm on stage, doing my dancing, will you come to see me?" I said 'Of course I will', she said 'ok'. Funny kid!

Dancing with Daddy

Daddy and Haddi are dancing around the living room - much to her delight! (obviously)

Fingers-a-Flyin'

Haddi loves to play the piano and sing her songs so here she is with her fingers-a-flyin on Easter morning. She's put on her special Easter hat, which she insists on wearing with the brim folded down. She is the most stubborn child on the planet, but I understand from reliable sources that she comes by it naturally (twice)!

Counting the Haul!

After indoor Easter Egg hunting, Haddi counts out her haul into the egg basket. Note the "princess hair" (as in from the Princess Bride movie) provided by Auntie, to go along with the Easter dress.

Easter Princess!

This is SUCH a Haddi face! She is wearing her new Belle Ball Gown (from Beauty and the Beast) that th Easter Bunny brought her in her Easter Basket. She is her own little princess!

Funny Easter Bunny!

Haddi just loves to dye Easter Eggs! This year, Grandma Nana (Liz) and Auntie came to dye eggs, and have a slumber party. Haddi had THE most fun with the egg stickers and especially sleeping in the guest room (which she calls Uncle Martin's room) with her grandma and auntie. On Easter morning, we all got up and Haddi hunted Easter eggs inside due to pouring rain. She loved it!
